1,000 Words: Stand Tall

A sculpture commemorating German writers and poets in the Bebelplatz, in Berlin. The sculpture was made by the German design team Sholz & Friends, as part of a 2006 project called the “Walk of Ideas.” The Bebelplatz is also recognized as the location of a Nazi book-burning in 1933, when over twenty-thousand books were burned in a single day.
