Vintage Macbook

posted by: Lucy Tang

The BookBook allows you to lug around your Macbook or Macbook Pro in something more unusual than those ubiquitous laptop sleeves. Nestled snugly in a padded interior, your Mac looks more like a leather-bound manuscript pulled from the dusty archives of the British Library than another one of Steve Jobs’s brainchildren. Each BookBook is handmade, with leather hardback covers and, best of all, zippers that look like bookmarks. Not to mention the fact that the leather hardback covers offer more protection than neoprene from potential bumps and shocks. The BookBook is especially perfect for people who frequently type away at libraries or coffee shops. Thieves will overlook your Mac if they think it’s just another antiquated hardback. Then again, if I kept my Mac in a BookBook, the librarians at Butler library (at Columbia, where I'm a student) would probably end up taking it to the library stacks. But that's a risk I'm willing to take.
